She has male friends.
One of them is funny.
One is good-looking.
One has known her longer than you have.
Your nervous system has opened several browser tabs.
Jealousy is information about your emotional state
It tells you that something feels threatening.
It does not automatically tell you whether the threat is real.
That distinction matters.
Get specific
“You have male friends” is not a behavior.
“You flirt with him in front of me after we agreed that crosses a boundary” is.
Specific behaviors can be discussed. Entire genders cannot realistically be banned from somebody's life.
Do not make her prove loyalty forever
Password checks.
Location demands.
Interrogations after every outing.
Repeatedly requiring reassurance.
Those behaviors can grow out of fear and still become controlling.
You get to have boundaries too
Confidence does not mean accepting any behavior because you are afraid of seeming jealous.
The goal is mutual boundaries, not one person's surveillance.
Say what behavior bothers you and why. Then listen to her view.
Do not compete with every man she knows
You cannot win a competition against an infinite field of hypothetical replacements.
If she chooses to be with you, let that choice count for something unless her actual behavior gives you a reason not to.
The bottom line
Jealousy deserves attention. It does not automatically deserve obedience.
