You noticed her cleavage.
Congratulations. Your visual system remains operational.
Now comes the part that actually matters.
Attraction does not require a moral emergency
Guys sometimes receive two bad messages:
One says staring is normal and women should just deal with it.
The other says noticing an attractive body part makes you disrespectful.
Neither is useful.
You can notice without turning another person into scenery.
The second look is where choice starts showing up
Your eyes land somewhere automatically.
Then you become aware of it.
That is your cue to return to the interaction.
Face. Conversation. Whatever you were actually doing before your brain discovered breasts exist.
Do not overcorrect into obvious panic
There is also a comedy version of respect where a guy becomes so terrified of looking that he stares six inches above her forehead for twenty minutes.
That can feel strange too.
You are allowed ordinary eye contact. You are allowed to glance naturally around a room. Just stop repeatedly scanning her chest.
Her clothing is not an instruction to you
A revealing top can mean she likes the top.
It can mean she likes how she looks.
It can mean it is hot outside.
It can mean a hundred things that are not “please stare at me.”
Consent is not implied by clothing.
What if you are on a date?
You can be sexually attracted to someone you are dating.
That is not the same thing as silently consuming her body while she talks.
Attraction tends to land better when the other person still feels like a person.
What if she catches you looking?
Do not build a federal case.
Bring your attention back. If the moment is obviously awkward, a small “sorry” can be enough.
Do not defend yourself with a speech about what she was wearing.
Practice attention, not suppression
The goal is not to scream “DO NOT LOOK” internally every time an attractive woman appears.
That can make the body part even more mentally central.
Instead, notice where your attention went and redirect it to the person, conversation, task, or environment. That is an ordinary attention skill.
Compliments have context too
Even if you are attracted to what she is wearing, “nice tits” is not the only available sentence in English.
If you are dating or flirting and you know sexual compliments are welcome, context may be different. At work, school, a service interaction, or with someone you barely know, comments about intimate body parts can put the other person in an uncomfortable position.
Being able to read context is part of social competence.
You do not lose anything by being respectful
Some guys fear that controlling their attention makes them weak, repressed, or “friend-zoned.”
Respect is not sexual invisibility. You can flirt. You can express attraction. You can ask someone out.
You just do those things while remembering that the woman has an internal life beyond being visually appealing to you.
The bottom line
Your first glance is often automatic. Your attention after that is trainable.
Respect is not never noticing women. It is being able to notice and still behave normally.
