Friend groups turn random facts into mythology. One bad haircut survives ten years. One drunk fall becomes a holiday story. An unusually large penis has even more staying power.
At first, the joke may genuinely be funny. You may even encourage it. Then every new girlfriend gets a comment. Every pair of sweatpants becomes material. Every changing room somehow circles back to you.
You are allowed to change your mind about a joke
Consent to banter is not a lifetime contract. Laughing the first five times does not mean you signed away the right to be tired of it.
If you are laughing too, it is probably banter. If everyone else is laughing and you are managing irritation so the room stays comfortable, the joke may have expired.
The weird pressure to be grateful
Because being well-endowed is culturally treated as desirable, people may assume you cannot reasonably dislike attention about it. But flattering information can still be private information.
Being called handsome does not entitle somebody to discuss your face every hour. Being told you have a big penis does not make your genitals a public-running gag.
Do not overcomplicate the boundary
“The bit was funny. We can retire my dick from the group chat now.”
“Seriously, enough. Pick another topic.”
A healthy group adjusts. You do not need a courtroom case proving emotional damages.
What if you still like some of the jokes?
Then keep the ones you like. Boundaries can be specific. You might be fine with a nickname and not fine with somebody telling dates intimate details. You might laugh at a one-liner and hate people staring while you change.
The goal is not maximum modesty. The goal is control over your own privacy.
The bottom line
You can be proud of your body, laugh about it with your friends and still decide when the joke has had enough airtime.
